The Treatment
Process
Step 1
Preparation is extremely simple.
A topical anesthetic is applied to the external vaginal area.
Step 2
Deliver the Laser Light
A “cage” is inserted into the vagina. The laser probe is placed within the cage. A short pulse followed by a long pulse is delivered to the vaginal wall in a predetermined pattern. The probe is gradually withdrawn from the vagina making sure that all of the surfaces are treated. The cage is then removed. The last step is to treat the external areas of the vagina.
Step 3
Post Procedure Care
Post Procedure Care is simple. Apply a lanolin cream externally three times a day for one to two days if needed. Minor spotting may be experienced in the first few hours following the procedure that is easily managed with a pad. Abstain from intercourse for three to seven days.
Results
Results are apparent very quickly as the vaginal lining heals very quickly. Typically we recommend 3 treatments spaced about a month apart, with an annual booster.
